A Parrot’s Legacy · 23 species editions

Your parrot’s life, written down.

Designed by parrot owners, for parrot owners, this series was created to help owners record health, behaviour, milestones, and memories across a parrot’s lifetime. Parrots are long-lived, so each edition is built with extra space for long-term records. Each edition is tailored to a specific species while keeping the same purpose: preserving a bird’s life story in one place.

Parrots can live for many decades. During that time, life circumstances change and care may be shared with others. A clear, consistent record helps communicate important details about a bird’s health, routines, and personality, ensuring nothing important is lost along the way.

For example: if a bird has a medical detail or habit that matters later, a clear written record prevents guesswork or misunderstanding.

“With over two decades as Secretary and Editor of The Parrot Society UK, I understand that as parrot keepers, we invest enormous care in the health and wellbeing of our birds, and yet so much of their life story can be lost over time, particularly for those parrots who pass between families.

A Parrot’s Legacy offers a practical and thoughtful way to record that information, creating a lasting record that is invaluable to owners, temporary carers, families, and future caretakers alike. It is a resource that reflects the real responsibilities and long-term commitment involved in keeping parrots well.

I recommend it to parrot keepers at every experience level and for parrots of any age.”

A long-term parrot owner.

Through years of living with parrots — from hatch date through later life and loss — I learned, often the hard way, which information truly matters to keep.

These journals were shaped by that experience, with a focus on preserving the records that would be most important to a parrot if their care ever had to change.
